Taxi damaged in city arson attack

A BLACK cab was damaged by an arsonist who set it alight when it was parked on Barnsley Road, Fir Vale, Sheffield, at 1.40am on Good Friday.

Three hours later a Honda Civic was destroyed in an arson attack on Horninglow Road, Firth Park, Sheffield.

Missing man found

A MAN who went missing was found in the Peak District after a 14-hour search.

The man, aged 53, was located in the William Clough area near Kinder Scout. Five rescue teams, specialist dogs, police and a helicopter were involved in the search in snowy conditions. The man was checked and found to be well.

Blaze in living room

A MAN was taken to hospital after a fire broke out in his lounge in the early hours yesterday. Firefighters were called to his flat on Beighton Road, Woodhouse, Sheffield, at 4am. In Firth Park two wheelie bins were set on fire on Merlin Way at 5.40am on Friday. Firefighters extinguished the flames.
