Congratulations to city care homes
SHEFFCARE, which runs 11 residential care homes across the city, has won the praise of health industry regulators.
Officials from the Care Quality Commission visited four Sheffcare homes – Grange Crescent at Nether Edge, Knowle Hill at Halfway, Deerlands at Parson Cross and Hawkhills at Stannington – and all four sites achieved full recognition for standards of quality and safety.
Chief executive Belinda Gibson said: “We are delighted that once again the CQC inspectors have been impressed by the standards of care on offer at our homes.”
Days out for teens
SIX Sheffield Hallam University students are organising activities for 15 to 19-year-olds with autism. An Easter themed day has already taken place, and students are hoping to take participants bowling on their last trip.
A HANDBAG was stolen from a house on Pinner Road, Hunters Bar, Sheffield, by a thief who sneaked in through an unlocked door.
