Textile art show opens at gallery
A NEW exhibition opening at Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery on Saturday features the textile sculptures of Paola McClure, who uses vintage fabrics and second-hand clothing to create strange alien creatures and upholstered female figures.
The Sparkle and Spin touring exhibition runs until Saturday, April 13.
Demolition plan
doncaster Council has received a conservation area application for the demolition of eight outbuildings at the rear of Womack’s furniture store on Bawtry High Street.
Battle cry
A BATTLEFIELDS Trust development officer, Julian Humphrys, will be giving a talk entitled Enemies at the Gate, about besieged castles, at Doncaster Central Library on Monday from 2pm.
