Shoppers share fashion faux pas

Visible bra straps, sale stickers on shoes, and ill-fitting clothing are among fashion crimes committed by South Yorkshire shoppers.

A survey by Meadowhall shopping centre found 56 per cent of people experienced a wardrobe malfunction in the past three months,, with bra straps and forgotten price tags the biggest culprits.

Pick-up truck blaze

A BLAZING pick-up truck rolled into a house – causing its garage to catch fire,

The vehicle rolled into the end terrace property on Wingfield Road, New Tupton, Chesterfield on Saturday, at about 3.50am.

Both fires were put out by 5am and an investigation has been launched.

Smoking starts fire

A FIRE started by smoking material led to a casualty being taken to hospital.

Saturday’s blaze, at about 8.40pm, on Ford Street, New Tupton, Chesterfield, affected a brick-built outbuilding.

It was out on arrival but one person was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.

Motorbike stolen

A STOLEN motorcycle was destroyed after it was ablaze.

Fire crews from Chesterfield were called to the fire on St Augustine’s Mount on Saturday, at 5am.

Police are investigating.
