Inquest into death of flats fall man

An INQUEST has been opened and adjourned into the death of a 46-year-old man who plunged from a tenth floor window of flats on Brightmore Drive, Upperthorpe, Sheffield, on January 10.

A post mortem examination has revealed the man, who was a resident at the flats, died from multiple injuries as a result of the fall.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and South Yorkshire Police are continuing investigations on behalf of the coroner.

Demo is planned

SHEFFIELD Anti-Cuts Alliance is finalising plans for a demonstration this weekend against planned £3.5m cuts to children’s centres. The demonstration will take place at Devonshire Green from 11am on Saturday and is backed by Sheffield Community Forum plus trade unions GMB, Unite, NUT and Unison.
