Make a lantern at popular museum

Make your visit to a South Yorkshire attraction more special by making lanterns.

Enchanted lantern-making workshops take place at Cannon Hall Museum on Sunday, from 11am to 2pm.

Sessions cost £5 per child. Places are limited and should be booked in advance by calling 01226 790270.

Also at the museum, on Sunday, Amanda Johnson from Kidology Workshops will be on hand to show people how to make beautiful sounds on a glass harp. Session times are 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm.

The activity is free, but the Barnsley museum advises people ‘to book early to avoid disappointment’.

TICKETS are on sale now for the annual Christmas Brass and Voices concert at Sheffield Cathedral.

The event, on Saturday at 7pm, features the cathedral choir and the Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band.
