Hospital’s special Christmas gift

STAFF at a Sheffield furniture store have been getting into the Christmas spirit.

A team from DFS, Fornham Street, Sheffield city centre, delivered a new sofa to Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

The sofa was especially designed for the hospital before being delivered to the clinical research facility.

And to give the room a festive feel, DFS Sheffield also presented the hospital with a Christmas tree, decorations, stockings, crackers and a host of other Christmas goodies – and decorated the entire room for the staff and patients.

Ryan Maloney, DFS Sheffield store manager, said: “It was a real pleasure to see the looks on the children’s faces when they all saw the Christmas decorations.

“The hospital is important to our city and we wanted to help the patients, families and staff this Christmas.”

Christina Cutler, facility manager, said: “Having a new, personalised sofa to take us into the New Year, and which will make our day room more comfortable for everyone who uses it, is amazing and a great Christmas present.”
