Hillsborough song set to beat Arthur

A CHARITY single on behalf of Hillsborough Disaster victims’ families is favourite to trounce X Factor winner James Arthur as Christmas No. 1. Betting website Oddschecker has given the single - a version of The Hollies hit He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother – by the Justice Collective, released on December 17, odds of 4/7, while Arthur has a best price of 1/3.

Marshals at ranks

TAXI marshals are operating in Barnsley at ranks on New Street and Midland Street, to help people visiting town centre nightspots get home safely.

The Barnsley Council staff will be on duty on the evenings of December 21, 23, Boxing Day, December 29, and New Year’s Eve.
