Motorbike dumped and set alight

A MOTORBIKE was dumped and set alight in an arson attack on Skye Edge Avenue, Skye Edge, Sheffield.

Firefighters were called out to the blaze at 11pm on Friday.

Fault sparks car fire

A RANGE Rover Sport went up in flames after developing an electrical fault when it was parked up.

The blaze on Beetwell Street, Chesterfield was tackled by firefighters at 2.30am yesterday.

Wheelie bin blaze

FIREFIGHTERS were called to deal with a wheelie bin set alight on Eastern Avenue, Arbourthorne, Sheffield.

The fire was reported on Saturday, at 10.30pm.

Confused pensioner

POLICE in Sheffield spent a night searching for a pensioner who walked into a city pub in a confused state and wearing his pyjamas.

Officers were called by staff at the Gypsy Queen, Drakehouse Lane, Beighton, on Friday, claiming they had ‘concerns’ for the welfare of the OAP.

Officers searched the local area but failed to find him.

They appealed for people with information on his identity to come forward and over the weekend tracked him down.

Burglars disturbed

TWO men trying to break into a house on Shirebrook Road, Heeley, Sheffield, were disturbed and fled after they were heard smashing a window with a brick.

Police are investigating the incident, which was reported at 2am on Tuesday.

A CAR was stolen from Norton Park View, Norton, Sheffield, after the door to the house it was parked outside was left open.

The thief sneaked in and stole the car keys before driving off.

Police said the car was taken overnight on Friday into Saturday last week.

Boiler is stolen

A BOILER has been reported stolen from an unoccupied house on Lingfoot Place, Jordanthorpe, Sheffield.

It was taken overnight on Saturday, November 23.

Police are investigating.

Motorbike theft

A MOTORBIKE was stolen from Carrfield Court, Heeley, Sheffield.

Anyone with information about Wednesday night’s theft is asked to call police on 101.
