CHESTERFIELD firefighters crew were called out to the A61 Dronfield Bypass after two men were injured when their car lost control.

The incident happened on Saturday night and was caused by surface water on the road.

Both men were taken to hospital by ambulance.

The ambulance was already transporting another person to hospital and had to double-up because the emergency services were so busy.

FIREFIGHTERS from Staveley and Alfreton attended an smash on the M1 southbound between junctions 30 and 29 at 1am on Sunday morning.

All the passengers from a saloon had managec to get out of the vehicle by the time the fire service attended.
