Sheffield Renewables is hosting a talk at Crowded House, Sharrow Vale Road on Thursday from 7.30pm.

VOLUNTARY Action Rotherham is hosting its annual general meeting on Friday November 16.

The event takes place at Moorgate Road, Rotherham from 2pm. Items on the agenda include the presentation of the organisation’s annual accounts, along with a talk from NHS Rotherham commissioner Chris Edwards.

CONCERT-GOERS will be transported back to wartime Britain to mark Remembrance Day. A Salute to Vera Lynn takes place at the Beauchief Hotel, Abbeydale Road on Wednesday, November 7 from noon until 3pm.

A BONFIRE is to be held on Manor Fields Park, off City Road, Sheffield, on Friday November 2.

The fire will be lit at 6pm and there will be a fireworks display at 7pm.

TV HISTORIAN Suzannah Lipscomb speaks to the Friends of Sheffield Manor Lodge on her book 1536-the year that changed Henry VIII.
