POLICE in Sheffield are investigating a spate of burglaries across Sheffield, where windows were forced open.

A home on Lowedges Crescent, Lowedges, was broken into on Tuesday and the day before a property on Cliffe Field Road, Norton Lees, was broken into by a burglar who got in through an insecure first floor window.

Homes on Overend Road and Spotswood Road, Gleadless Valley, and Hallyburton Drive, Arbourthorne, was broken into last weekend.

On Monday, March 19, a house on Derby Street, Heeley, was raided.

Police are also hunting four burglars who were disturbed breaking into a property on Thorpe House Avenue, Norton Lees, Sheffield, on Monday afternoon.

They ran off into nearby woods.
