POLICE destroyed £150,00 worth of cannabis found in commercial premises on Abbeydale Road, and fourteen large cannabis plants growing in a house on Lowedges Road, Lowedges.

Officers who raided the Sheffield drug dens and are now looking for the offenders behind the cultivation.

A STRONG gust of wind blew a van over onto the hard shoulder of the southbound carriageway of the M1 between junctions 37 and 38 - Dodworth and Darton.

The incident caused some delays but the road remained fully open to passing traffic.

A GAS main was damaged when a car ran out of control and burst into flames on Clowne Road, Stanfree, near Chesterfield.

Firefighters from Bolsover dealt with the blaze and were on stand-by until gas engineers arrived to carry out repairs.

CASH and a laptop computer were stolen when a patio door was smashed to gain access to a house, police have revealed.

The raid happened on Bramley Road, Doe Lea, near Chesterfield, between 8.45am and 12.40pm on Wednesday.

POLICE are trying to trace the owner of bike found dumped in a hedge.

A dog walker spotted the bike abandoned on Worksop Road, Mastin Moor, Derbyshire. The silver Ezee electric assisted pedal cycle is said to be in good condition. Call PCSO Sue Cooke at Derbyshire Police on 101.
