New use for historic site

TWO new tenants have moved into a converted landmark former textile industry building in Barnsley.

The McLintocks site, on Summer Lane, has attracted national charity The Stroke Association and Chris Burrows Lighting, which imports lighting from Shanghai.

Julia MacLeod, regional manager for The Stroke Association, said: "We are developing a new family and carer support service in Barnsley, which provides emotional support and advice to stroke survivors, their families and carers. This location provides good valuefor us."
