A new tuition centre has opened in Sheffield, creating 20 new jobs.

Explore Learning, which offers maths and English tuition to children aged five to 14, has opened the doors of its new centre inside the Sainsbury’s store on Clay Wheels Lane, Hillsborough.

It is the company’s second Sheffield site, with one already based in Banner Cross.

Kate Whitmore, centre director, said: “We’re very excited to be opening the new Hillsborough centre and building on the great work and reputation that the Banner Cross team has built over the last two years. I’m from Doncaster and know the area very well; it’s a buzzing, diverse and lively city full of families so we hope our services will appeal to lots of people. We’ll be running free trial sessions for parents who want to see what we’re all about so we’re looking forward to seeing anyone who thinks some extra tuition could benefit their child.”

Heather Garrick, marketing director at Explore Learning, said: “Children of all abilities come to us for extra help in maths and English or to enjoy learning in a new, social environment.”
