More than 50 jobs have been created at a new sports store which is to open in Sheffield this week.
Sports Direct is to unveil the shop - which occupies a floor in the former TJ Hughes building on High Street -on Friday.
Discount chain Poundland has already moved into the site.
A spokesman for Sports Direct said the store had created five management posts and more than 50 casual vacancies.
She added: “We are delighted to be opening our brand new store in Sheffield. “As our company continues to grow throughout the UK, our ethos has never changed in that we offer our customers the biggest brands in all types of sportswear, footwear and sports equipment at low prices.”
The store will sell specialist sports and outdoor pursuits brands and have a series of opening offers for customers.
