A new Scandinavian supermarket has opened in Sheffield, taking aim at the likes of Asda, Tesco and Aldi.
Netto has thrown open its doors on the Kilner Way Retail Park in Wadsley Bridge, creating 25 jobs.
The Danish chain has not been seen on British shores since Asda bought out all 193 shops in 2010, but the company has returned to Sheffield with a new-look store it says is ‘a complete departure’ from the Netto of old.
Netto UK managing director Morten Moberg said: “We are very excited to be opening this store in Kilner Way.
“We’re Denmark’s favourite supermarket and, with the discount model coming of age in the UK, we believe this new-look store offers something really unique.”
