The University of Sheffield has appointed Professor Jacqueline Labbe as Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the Arts and Humanities.
Professor Labbe is currently the Chairman of the Graduate School, and a Professor in the Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies at the University of Warwick.
She is a leading authority on British writers of the Romantic period and is a past President of the British Association for Romantic Studies.
Professor Labbe said: “I am thrilled to be offered the opportunity to take up the role at The University of Sheffield.
“The faculty draws together seven departments, 350 academics, and 4,000 students all committed to the understanding of all aspects of human society and culture.”
