A top rambling hotspot has been handed a boost after a footpath improvement project was completed.
Peak District walkers will benefit from improved access along Mam Tor.
An 80 metre stretch of flag and pitched path leading across the ridge to Lose Hill has been restored, with the old path replaced with gritstone and reclaimed flagstones.
Mark Leah, National Trust ranger, said: “The path had become uncomfortable to walk down, causing people to walk on the grass at the side of the path, creating erosion.
“Upgrading the pathway will hopefully help conserve the site and greatly increase visitor enjoyment across this great visual landscape.”
