CUDDLY akita Kira needs a new home and RSPCA Sheffield animal care manager Tony Benham believes she will make the perfect pet for the right person.
He said: “Kira is a gorgeous-looking white Akita, with a gentle and mature nature.
“She came in January with her three stunning pups, who have flown out to new homes. Now, after all her hard work rearing her pups, she needs a home of her own.
“She looks at you with her wise eyes and is appealing.
“We’ve noticed how little she barks at people as they walk around our centre trying to find the right dog for them, and it’s as if she really wants to be chosen by someone.
“We’re puzzled why she hasn’t yet found the person to adopt her. She is adorable.”
Staff at the centre in Stadium Way, Attercliffe, believe Kira is aged about six would be best as an only pet.
She likes to go on long walks and have her fur groomed and pampered. She would be fine with older children.
Tony said: “Kira is very affectionate. Her owner could no longer take care of her through no fault of her own.
“She is house trained and looking for people who would like a dog that likes lots of fuss and attention.”
