THE New Hall in Bawtry, Doncaster, is to be refurbished to coincide with its 30th anniversary.
Bawtry Town Council has agreed to donate £3,000 towards the project and treasurer Jim Hutchinson has managed to secure £10,000 from the National Lottery Fund.
This money will enable work to commence on the refurbishment of the disabled toilet that will improve wheelchair access.
Repair work will also be carried out to the ceiling of the main hall, the lighting will be improved, the wooden floor sanded and re-coated and the entrance lobby redecorated and new doors fitted.
The work is due to start in August and the New Hall will be closed for around a week before a grand re-opening ceremony takes place in September.
