CELEBRATIONS are taking place at a Sheffield church after a £260,000 redevelopment took place.
Handsworth Methodist church, on Handsworth Road, reopens at the weekend.
On Saturday between 10am and noon, there will be a coffee morning, photo displays and chance to look round and see the changes.
At 4pm on the same day, a reopening service will take place with the Boys’ Brigade band to play outside church to welcome guests.
Before the service, a ribbon will be cut by Rev Mike Jones, who started the regeneration project 10 years ago.
On Sunday, there will be a celebration service at 10.30am and songs of praise service at 6.30pm.
Both will be led by the Rev Brian Bullick.
