More than 50 adults have been authorised to work as lay ministers across the Diocese of Sheffield.

A total of 51 adults took part in a special service involving Bishop of Doncaster Peter Burrows and Bishop of Sheffield Steven Croft.

Bishop Peter said: “In our centenary year we give thanks for our Diocese – shaped by its past, but today looking forward in eager hope as these people step forward to be licensed to minister our faith.”
