A Rotherham IT entrepreneur has launched a new internet subscription service.
Chris Foulstone, managing director of Impelling Solutions, was so frustrated by the internet provision in Treeton he rounded up an army of contractors to set up Bliss Internet.
Welders and engineers to printers and data specialists have all had a hand in helping to set up the service, which now boasts hundreds of subscribers.
Businesses can now trade online, residents enjoy fast internet at home and community venues can now offer free WI-FI to their patrons.
Chris said: “Treeton has suffered from very poor internet service for years and it’s a problem that’s been completely overlooked by all of the big suppliers.
“As someone trying to run my own business, it was a massive headache and often meant I had to work outside of the village in order to get my work done. I knew that there had to be a better way and that’s why I decided to find my own solution.
“We are living proof that with the right motivation and a little bit of ingenuity local people can find local solutions to local problems.”
