A SHEFFIELD teacher has taken over the running of a maths and English study centre in Sheffield.

Alison Morgan, who also runs a similiar centre in Crystal Peaks, has a degree in maths and economics from York University.

She runs Kumon instruction courses which use a unique method to teach children study skills and boost their confidence.

The Kumon method is not linked to the national curriculum but is an international programme of learning which aims to complement classroom lessons.

The Beauchief Kumon instruction courses are held at Woodseats Methodist Church on Holmhirst Road, Woodseats, on Tuesdays from 3.30 to 5.30pm and on Fridays from 3.30 to 6.30pm.

Alison said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be taking over.”
