Volunteers are helping to install two new footbridges over a drainage ditch in Sheffield to help walkers reach a playing field more easily.
The footbridges will allow easier access to Thorpe Green playing field as part of the Waterthorpe and Ochre Dyke Wildflower Corridor Project.
The five-year project, now in its second year, is sponsored by Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre and aims to spread the biodiversity from the ancient meadow at Crystal Peaks to several new meadows along the corridor.
Meadows have been created and footpaths and seating funded through the scheme.
Sheffield Landscape Trust is helping to carry out the latest work, while volunteers and officials from Sheffield Council have also been involved with the project.
