A SHEFFIELD fertility centre has become the first in the region to use ‘CCTV’ to watch the developing embryos of IVF patients.
It means the embryos don’t have to be removed from their environment to be assessed by embryologists.
The in-built camera system has been installed at Care Fertility in Nether Edge.
Rachel Smith, lab manager at Care said: “It is a privilege to see the first signs of life unfold. We think this could benefit every patient and improve pregnancy rates.”
