A NEW centre in Sheffield will offer ‘cutting edge’ child protection services to vulnerable families.

The NSPCC facility will help looked-after children, those whose parents have drug or alcohol problems, and victims of sexual abuse.

Clare Reading, Sheffield community fundraising manager, thanked readers who supported the charity in 2012.

She added: “We have made significant strides to help children but still need the public’s support in Sheffield and South Yorkshire to continue our work.”
