New bus fleet now in service in Sheffield and Chesterfield

A fleet of 13 new buses has been launched in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire as part of a £1.5 million investment by Stagecoach.

Nine new single deckers have been introduced on routes in Chesterfield and four on the 123 service, which operates between Crystal Peaks and Sheffield city centre.

They are low to the floor, making it easier for disabled passengers and those with buggies.

Paul Lynch, of Stagecoach, said: “Putting customers first is our priority and this latest investment demonstrates our commitment to consistently improve the comfort and reliability of services for the benefit of our customers.”
