A new beat bobby has joined the police team which patrols a Derbyshire village.
PC Luke Christian has joined the safer neighbourhood team based in Creswell after switching from the response team in Bolsover.
He will work alongside team members PC Phil Harrison and police community support officers Matt Wardle and Jennifer Salmon to cover Creswell, the fishpond area and the area east of Whitwell.
PC Christian said: “I am eager to meet and get to know the local community to build relationships and work together to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour across the area.
“A priority for the team at the moment is clamping down on nuisance motorbikes and this is something I am looking forward to working on.
“My colleagues and I will be carrying out regular patrols in the Linear Park area to speak to nuisance riders and advise them about the effect that their behaviour has on the local community, and how further action will be taken where necessary.”
Residents are being encouraged to report any incidents of nuisance behaviour to police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
Villagers are also encouraged to keep up to date with local policing initiatives by following the team on Twitter @CreswellSNT
