A new community police base has been opened for a safer neighbourhood policing team in North Derbyshire.
The office, at Hasland Village Hall in Eastwood Park, has been provided by Chesterfield Council.
It will provide the team with a stop while they are out on patrol in the area, and also a place where they can hold small meetings with local residents.
Safer Neighbourhood Team Sergeant Mark Church said: “We’re very grateful to Chesterfield Council and the support of Councillor Amanda Serjeant in setting up this space for us to use.
“The community base will give officers a chance to drop in while they are on patrol around the village, allow them to catch up on a few things, and will also offer a meeting point for locals.”
