A brand new 24/7 gym franchise, that is winning awards all over the globe, has arrived in Sheffield.
Serial Sheffield entrepreneur and fitness fan, Owen Hao, invested £400,000 in the city’s new Anytime Fitness gym, on Tenter Street, the 58th branch to open in the UK.
The 25-year-old entrepreneur said: “I’ve followed how well the business model had worked across the globe for some time and it’s easy to see why its been a success with gym goers. The Anytime Fitness motto is ‘just right’ and that’s exactly what it is. It has its own identity, its own brand, look and feel. It doesn’t try and pretend to be snobby but it’s not an old school gym either, it also isn’t your budget gym where you are all crammed on the treadmills.
“We are already up to 300 members and can go up to a capacity of 2000 but we have only been open a few weeks. One of the biggest benefits for the Sheffield public to take out a membership, apart from it’s obvious 24/7 access, is that you can have access to any of the Anytime Fitness Club across the world, that’s over 2800 clubs worldwide.”
Since opening, the gym has provided jobs to six people in Sheffield, including club manager Claire Burrows.
