The search is on to find three Sheffield couples who can tie the knot at midnight on the day when equal marriage laws come in.
LGBT Sheffield has appealed for couples to come forward and get married at the city’s register office on March 29.
Plans to have one couple marry at midnight are afoot in other cities, but Sheffield organisers wants to make headlines with three.
Coun Neale Gibson, secretary of LGBT Sheffield, said: “We see it as an opportunity of putting Sheffield on the map nationally and probably internationally as a city of equality and fairness.”
