THE fourth annual South Yorkshire Natural History Day was held at Treeton Village Community and Resource Centre on Saturday.

Organised by The Sorby Natural History Society, the event was attended by about 80 enthusiasts, members of volunteer groups and experts in natural history, recording and scientific fields.

There were a series of presentations and a talk from Chris Measures, of Friends of Gillfield Wood, which was set up two years ago and cares for woodland near Totley.
