STAFF at a Doncaster housing organisation are celebrating after being recognised at a regional awards ceremony.

St Leger Homes of Doncaster, the organisation managing homes for Doncaster Council, was highly commended in the Equality and Diversity Award category and in the Tenant Liaison Officer of the Year section of the TPAS Awards 2011.

St Leger Homes was recognised for its work on programmes including the Safeguarding Project – a communication method which allows staff to report their concerns whenever dealing with vulnerable children and adults.

And Catherine Spooner, from Henry Boot Construction, working on the Decent Homes Programme, was highly commended in the Tenant Liaison of the Year category.

Catherine was honoured for her dedication to tenants and for her passion for getting the best for them.
