Leading restaurant chain Nando’s is to open its very first restaurant in Doncaster today.
Players from Doncaster Rovers and Doncaster Rugby League Club will officially unveil the new Lakeside restaurant at noon on Wednesday lunchtime.
Nando’s, home of the legendary, Portuguese flame-grilled Peri-Peri chicken, is one of the world’s leading eating out brands.
The 110-seater restaurant, designed in Nando’s unique Afro-Portuguese style, boasts several giant pieces of artwork, including a portrait of Nelson Mandela and lots of unique lighting fixtures, along with booths and spaces for larger groups of diners.
The opening has also created more than 32 new jobs for the area, ranging from cashiers and grillers to assistant managers.
Andy Crook, Nando’s regional managing director said: “We’re really excited about Nando’s opening in Doncaster and can’t wait to welcome the players from Doncaster Rovers and Doncaster RLC to their shiny new restaurant. Finally supporters and players can get the post match Peri-Peri fix they’ve been waiting for!”
