Have your say

As I write this the sun is shining and it’s very warm in Doncaster.

I hope it lasts for the summer holidays!

The summer holidays mean lots of different things to different people and for us at Frenchgate in the town centre it’s about creating a fun, exciting environment for families.

As part of our summer programme of activities we’ve launched a sports zone where children and young people can battle it out with table football matches or table tennis games or go for goal in our penalty shoot-out area.

This is a great chance for people to squeeze a bit of sporting fun into their shopping trip!

It’s also a great chance for dads to take the kids if they get a little bit bored of all the clothes shopping (although I can’t understand how that would happen).

Our children’s activities have been hugely popular over the past few years.

We recognise that it can be a real challenge to keep kids entertained during the long school holidays.

And in addition to that, we understand, it can also be a really expensive time for parents.

We are pleased to be able to offer free ways to entertain the kids and this summer will be no exception.

Our theme for this summer is the Summer of Love so we are going all groovy.

Customers can come and check out our crazy flower power Volkswagen Beetle filled with flowers.

And we are sure that people will want to take a selfie as it is actually pretty cool!

Alongside some great shopping and dining treats, the centre will be hosting a set of summer activities for children and families.

These activities will include puppet shows, balloon modelling and dance workshops.

There will also be storytelling and even a visit from ’60s and present day legend Scooby Doo and his mystery machine.

There will be no shortage of free summer fun activities. For information about them check out our website for the latest family offers.

This summer has a really positive feel to it.

And we will be adding to the fun and excitement of the summer months by making sure our customers have a fantastic experience when the visit Frenchgate Shopping Centre’s Summer of Love.

Also look out for a few changes as we head into September - all helping to make Frenchgate a great place for all the family to shop through the year.

Hope you all have a very groovy summer!
