Musicians win awards
BARNSLEY band Worsbrough Brass and Doncaster classical guitarist Gregory Boast were the South Yorkshire winners at the week-long Co-operative Youth Music and Drama Festival in Barnsley.
More than 100 young musicians and drama enthusiasts competed in individual and group classes.
Worsbrough Brass, who won the Music Rose Bowl, and Gregory Boast who won the Ernest Frost Memorial Cup joined other class winners for a grand finale concert at the end of the festival.
