GUITAR man Danny Goodwin is doing his bit to help poorly kids in Sheffield - and getting a helping hand from mates at the Nelson Rock Bar.
Over the years musician and video maker Danny, 32, collected so many guitars he didn’t know what to do with them all.
But while talking to friends he decided rather than allow the instruments to gather dust he could use them to raise money for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Now Danny, who lives just off London Road, is to raffle five of his treasured guitars - each worth around £300.
He said: “The five guitars were supplied to me by a company called Skylark. They have been sitting in their cases for the past few years and that’s a real pity. So I decided to raffle them - that way someone gets to enjoy them and I raise a few quid for a worthy cause too.”
Raffle tickets can be bought from the Nelson bar in Furnival Gate with the winners being drawn at midnight on Saturday, October 28.
