Murder inquiry after man stabbed in Sheffield

A MURDER investigation is under way today after a man was stabbed to death on a Sheffield street.

The 29-year-old, who has not yet been named, was found injured on Swanbourne Road, Sheffield Lane Top, at 4am.

He was taken to Sheffield Northern General Hospital where he died at 10.55am.

Police said he had suffered multiple stab wounds.

Detectives believe he was attacked in or around Swanbourne Road and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
