Police have released a CCTV image of a man at a bargain shop in Rotherham they think could be on-the-run murder suspect John Heald.
The 53-year-old is wanted in connection with the death of 49-year-old guest house owner Bei Carter in Bridlington on 18 July.
The photo shows a man which South Yorkshire Police believe could be Heald at B&M Bargains in Mexborough on July 19 at 4.15pm.
Mr Heald is 5ft 11ins tall, of slim build, with blue eyes and short mousey brown hair. His right ear is pierced and he has tattoos on his hands and arms.
He has dots tattooed on the knuckles of both hands as well as a horse on his left hand and a mermaid and an eagle on his right arm.
Chief Superintendent Jason Harwin said: “We have released this image in the hope that it will jog someone’s memory and encourage them to get in touch with police if they have seen this man.
“We are still receiving calls from members of the public and I would like to reiterate my thanks for their continued support.
“It might be that there are people looking after him who don’t know what to do. This man is wanted in connection with a murder and serious sexual assault we need to speak to him.
“I urge anyone who has seen him or has information as to his whereabouts to contact police immediately.”
A reward of up to £5,000 has been offered by the charity Crimestoppers for information leading to the arrest of John Heald.
Anyone who thinks they have seen him is asked to call 999 immediately.
