A murder investigation has been launched after a man’s body was found in a house in Barnsley.
The death of the man, aged 65, is being treated as suspicious by police.
Officers were called to a property in Marsh Street where they found the body of a man.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “The death is being treated as suspicious and a full investigation is underway including house to house enquiries in the area.”
Detectives investigating the death of a 65-year-old man are asking for anyone with information to come forward.
A murder investigation is underway and officers remain at the scene carrying out enquiries. It is expected that the area will remain cordoned off for the next two days.

A post-mortem to establish the cause of death will take place this afternoon.
