A 22-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of Doncaster man Lewis Siddall has been released on bail.
A murder investigation was launched after Mr Siddall, from Skellow, Doncaster, died at his home in the early hours on Friday after reportedly being assaulted at the VDKA bar on Thursday night.
Police have said that the murder investigation is at an ‘early stages.’
Mr Siddall left the VDKA bar and was found dead in his bed at around 5.20am on Friday morning.
A post-mortem examination has concluded Mr Siddall died as a result of a head injury.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “The inquiry is in its very early stages and there are many more witnesses and lines of enquiry to pursue to ensure we establish the full facts about what happened to Mr Siddall.
“We believe there are a number of people who were at the bar that night who have not yet spoken to us who could potentially help with our inquiry.
Police are wanting to speak to anyone who was at the VDKA bar on Silver Street in Doncaster town centre between 11pm and 11.30pm on Thursday August 13.
