THEY say women can never have enough pairs of shoes - but not Sheffield’s Bea Marshall.
The Walkley mother-of-two has ditched footwear after sustaining running injuries, and has been pounding the pavements barefoot for more than two years.
While her lifestyle choice has attracted some attention from residents in Sheffield, she says it was met with much disapproval during a visit to the USA. She was even forced to make herself a pair of ‘minimalist shoes’ when challenged.
Bea, 34, a website designer, said: “People would come up to me and say ‘We are concerned about you not wearing shoes’.”
