Mr Britain muscles in on Mr Universe title
A WORKSOP bodybuilder has eclipsed his current title - adding the prize of Mr Universe to his existing status as Mr Britain!
Dave Titterton won the National Amateur Bodybuilders' Association class one prize in the Universe Championships held in Stockport.
The 19 stone heavyweight beat off 22 entrants from around the world in the contest, after impressing judges with his physique, fitness and flamboyance.
Dave, aged 33, from Langold, said: "It's been my ambition to win a Universe title since I started bodybuilding in 2003.
"As with all bodybuilders, what I eat and when I eat it is an all-consuming process. It really is a case of 'you are what you eat' but there is so much more to achieving success as a bodybuilder.
"It's a physical journey and everybody is physically capable of achieving perfection in bodybuilding. But it's also very much a psychological and emotional one. That is where it gets tough."
