MP Natascha Engel is to host a public meeting this weekend about plans to close Dronfield fire station.
Ms Engel, who represents North East Derbyshire, is to host the meeting this Sunday, December 8, between 2pm and 4pm.
The meeting is to be held in Gosforth Lodge, Cliffe Park, Dronfield.
Natascha Engel said: “Derbyshire Fire and Rescue are consulting on plans to close nine fire stations across the county. Dronfield is one of them.
“The public meeting gives Dronfield residents a chance to put forward their views which I will then send to the Fire Authority as part of their consultation.
“I encourage as many people as possible to come along, but also to take part in the consultation by visiting www.derbys-fire.gov.uk/have-your-say.
“Anybody who does not have access to the internet can contact my office on 01246 439018 to request a paper copy.”
Dronfield is one of nine that Derbyshire Fire Authority is considering closing to cut costs.
