Some of cricket’s biggest hitters were welcomed to Parliament by Doncaster’s MPs to mark the 150th anniversary of Yorkshire Cricket Club.
Doncaster Central MP Rosie Winterton and Doncaster North MP Ed Miliband attended the reception at the House of Commons, held to celebrate 150 years since Yorkshire played its first official match in London.
Club legends Geoff Boycott, Michael Vaughan and Darren Gough, plus members of the current Yorkshire squad, were at the reception.
Ms Winterton said: “It was lovely to help celebrate the club’s 150th anniversary and all the success and pride it has brought to the county over the years.”
Mr Miliband, Labour Party leader, said: “Geoff Boycott is a cricketing hero of mine.”
