Mountain rescue team volunteers were called to help an injured walker who slipped on an icy and snowy path in Castleton.

The man, from Didsbury, Manchester, was walking alone when he fell between Cave Dale and Eldon Hill. Paramedics gave first aid to the walker, who suffered a lower leg fracture, and Edale and Buxton mountain rescue teams used a sledge to transport him to an ambulance.
