THE British Red Cross is seeking South Yorkshire cyclists to sign up for a sponsored mountain bike challenge in October.
The course is the 23 mile Red Route in Dalby Forest, which is used as an end stage in the Tour of Britain, and the event will take place on Sunday October 9.
Max Newton, community fundraiser for the charity said: “This is a fantastic fundraising event. The course is spectacular, both in the scenery and the drops, twists, turns and jumps that it presents.
“Although it’s very technical and challenging, it’s suitable for both the novice and the experienced mountain biker, as anyone of any ability will get such a thrill from taking on this course.”
