Two motorists were cut free from cars in Sheffield following collisions.

In one incident a man was involved in a crash on Penistone Road, which closed the road while firefighters released him.

The two-car collision occurred near to the Charlie Brown garage at 9.15pm on Friday.

The motorist was taken to hospital suffering from suspected spinal injuries.

Crews were called out to a collision on Sprout Lane, Loxley, the following morning.

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital as a precaution.
